If you’ve ever been to an Apple Store they are hives of energy, excitement and absolute curiosity. I stood outside this store for quite a while and watched the people come and go, connecting their lives to a small pice of metal and glass in their hands. Even the man walking past had his face buried in a device and seemed to not even notice the enormity of the store beside him. Timing was the key with this image. The man walking past made the image connect (pardon the pun).

PHOTO TIP

Timing is everything in an image. When it comes to street photography, use the movement of people and include them in your image. Placement is also key. You’ll see the man is not in the center as he would clash with the large store opening. Instead he is placed in the lower right corner, offsetting the com position to create interest. He is also captured mid stride to ensure he stands out more against the light shade of the pavement and steps.
