You would think, looking at this portfolio of Seattle, that I had an addiction to buskers. But this is an iconic place. The very first Starbucks coffee place. Nestled in Pike Place, opposite the markets, this mecca has a line out the door and down the street. I’m told this old man plays harmonica and guitar every afternoon to draw crowds. He gets free coffee in return.

PHOTO TIP

The landmarks are what makes up a city as much as the unknown parts that only the locals know. I like to use a wide angle lens in these scenarios to give a view of the overall surroundings as well as the subject. Capturing the locals in ten image is also important to show a community connection to the landmark. It also place life in your picture.
