This is an unframed, limited edition collection landscape photography print of only 25 units. It is printed on Hahnemuhle Fine Art Pearl papers, structured to refract the highest values in colour and detail. It’s high-quality ink absorbing layer enables exceptional image quality with enormously detailed sharpness, and a very broad colour range, providing archival permanency of your artwork for over 100 years.

CAPTURE DETAILS

On tripod, Canon 5DMk2, 40mm, F8, 1/200th, ISO 100, no filter, processed in Lightroom.

Just outside Moab are mountains that are covered in red dirt for as far as you can see. Old American pick up trucks litter the side roads and front yards of nearly every property. I found this old pick up, rusted to hell, and bogged in a foot of red sand, hidden behind a barb wire fence. In the background were snow capped peaks and the wind passing by made it hard not to get dust in your eye. I changed perspective to a square format on this image to focus on just the cab, not the whole truck.

PHOTO TIP

Changing formats for your image can create a different style of image. I often move to a square format, rather then the standard or even the panoramic format. I think it works better for some black and whites. Your framing takes on a different dimension of course, but it also means you start to think of the square format when shooting as well. Try it next time you go out shooting. Look for images that work well as a 1:1 format.
