CAPTURE DETAILS
On tripod, Canon 5DMk2, 28mm, F16, 1/4 sec, ISO 50, no filter, light painting technique, processed in Lightroom.
I don’t think I’ve stood on a more wild beach than this one. I’ve been to Alaska and this matched it, just without the ice. Driftwood is strewn about everywhere, and the waves are not something your average surfer would find remotely attractive. Abbey Island sits just off the beach and compliments the view perfectly. Sunrise or sunset is a must on this beach. I avoided midday hours as the beach is a flat grey….everywhere. It’s when the light turns magic that this place lights up.
